What's different about corals and sponges?

Corals:
  • are related to jellyfish.
  • have stinging cells.
  • can live up to 500 years.

Sponges:

  • are porous.
  • release chemicals to scare off predators.
  • live deeper in the sea.

Did you know some sponges look like coral like the row pore rope sponge!
